Description: Tall, lanky and plain of face, Geneva possesses a singularly average appearance; one of her jokes is that her female friends keep her around to make themselves look better in contrast. Her face is broad and round, her chin and mouth too small, her eyes and nose too large. When she smiles, however, deep lines and dimples crease her cheeks, and she seems engaging enough. Personality: Before Thread, Geneva was a woman of quiet strength, leading a happy life. Now, she is still quiet, and still strong, but there's a tension to the set of her jaw that speaks of stress within. What was once a jolly sense of humour has become wry observations that sometimes cut. She no longer tolerates what she considers "silliness", and the only gentleness she shows is for her patients.

History: Before Thread, Geneva was a woman of quiet strength, leading a happy life. She, her father and the man who would become her husband staked their claim and intended to enjoy a pastoral lifestyle: a few pigs and chickens, some horses, perhaps a cow, and fields full of the golden, nodding heads of wheat. She was married at twenty, had her first child at twenty-one, and her second at twenty-four. Hers was a full life.

Then Thread fell, and her family was gone.

Since that time, Geneva enrolled in emergency medicine courses to become a paramedic, and an assistant to the doctors and nurses of the colony. Every death is an affront to her sense of justice. With the eggs hardening on the sands, she has put herself forward as a candidate, believing that this new lifeform is their best chance of preventing others from dying.
