M'urn : Bronze Morganath : Male 7554

CHARACTER PROFILE
Name: M’urn

Age: 24, mid-winter

Gender: Male

Distinguishing features: The only distinguishing thing about M’urn is the combination of black hair, blue eyes, and lightly tanned skin which make his average looks intriguing, though not handsome.

Hair Color: black

Eye Color: blue

Description: Physically, M’urn is not an imposing, hero-type looking bronzerider. He stands at five foot ten inches and is altogether proud of his averageness. Intelligent blue eyes stare out from between dark lashes, a witty sparkle making it seem as if M’urn is all too willing to enjoy life. Calloused hands that are proportionately a bit big lead up strong arms to sturdy shoulders and a solid, if slim, body. Almost entirely muscle, M’urn is certainly no stranger to physical activity. On the whole, M’urn gives off the impression of a hard working, average dragon rider.

Personality: The reason that M’urn is proud of his physical averageness as dragon riders go is that it means he is measured not by his physical attributes, but by his mind, his heart, and his skills. He loves dragons and everything they and their riders stand for, leaving him incredibly devoted to his Weyr and to fighting Thread. In relation to other people, M’urn is a willing listener and fair mediator in conflicts. He holds to his beliefs and will do what he feels is right, which is part of how he ended up in the past in the first place, delivering the vaccine to prevent disaster. Though he is inclined to do good, M’urn is no stranger to crossing the lines, especially when it comes to rules that seem nonsensical or outdated. As he’d say himself, “Drink up, fly high, and don't ever lose that lovin' feelin'!”

History: Marlsurn was born a weyrbrat and raised a weyrbrat, wreaking havoc around the weyr with all of his little friends throughout their childhoods. As almost every weyrbrat, he entered the Candidacy program when he was of age for it, taking up glasscrafting as his craft work instead of the almost drudgery the unCrafted Candidates were given. It was several years in the Candidacy program before Marlsurn met and Impressed his lifemate, bronze Morganath. From that moment on, while still game for any fun plan his friends might devise, the sense of responsibility he possesses now began to develop. When M’urn and Morganath graduated weyrlinghood they were assigned to D’lor’s wing, and the two bronzeriders became compatriots rather quickly. After the Plague’s vaccine was developed, M’urn despaired over the loss of so many lives during the first appearance of the Plague, when the colonists first lived on Pern. After several hush-hush discussions with D’lor and several other riders in their wing, their small bevy of riders decided to jump into the past carrying precious bottles of the vaccine to deliver to the colonists and to save lives.

Dragon Information
M'urn : Bronze Morganath : Male Morganath

Name: Morganath

Color: Bronze

Color Code:#5C4702

Age:9

Description: The first thing anyone will notice about this bronze is the darkness of his hide. Not only is it the color of deep, unpolished bronze, that same unpolished quality will make it seem as if this dragon isn’t sure whether or not he’s meant to be a bronze or a brown. All in all, besides his most interesting color of hide, Morganath is just about average for his color. In size, he’s not outrageously large, but he does surpass the median length for bronzes of the 2nd Interval at 19.5 feet. Well built, he is the archetypal bronze dragon, muscular and strong with a great stamina for lasting a full Fall…if he ever flies a Fall, being born a Second Interval dragon. That being said, his bronze hide is perfectly unmarred by any Threadscores or any other such scars earned with time. Unlike his clutchmates, Morganath bears no markings. He is simply a solid bronze, in color and in build.

Basic Personality:Exacting, courageous, kind-hearted.

Detailed Personality:Unlike Revenaulth, his Wingleader, Morganath is perfectly fine with being seen as the one to command and train his fellow dragons though drills. Not to mean that he seeks praise, but he gives no perception of false modesty or rejection of compliments he receives. He works hard at his drills and always feels that no matter how skilled a dragon or person is, there is infinite ability to improve and to move beyond boundaries.

In the face of Thread or any hardship or loss, Morganath is the pinnacle of courage. He will face death and danger with a steady heart and a steady flame. When another is grieving, he will comfort them, sharing in their loss while trying to offer them hope for the future. Unlike many dragons, Morganath has some concept of time.

This bronze, while a strong leader and able follower, is not simply a ‘military man’. He enjoys a relaxing day as much as he does fighting Thread. Morganath loves Harpers for their music and their tales, and these dramatic Crafters hold a very special place in the big guy’s heart. He is slow to anger and slow to cool, capable of holding grudges even if he can’t always remember why he is angry in the first place; luckily for those he does become angry with, he is not inclined to violence unless it’s against Thread or egg-muddlers. The future must be protected, after all.

Mind Voice: Strong and firm, with an edge of kindness, Morganath’s mind voice sounds like the dull rumble of a waterfall through the trees of a forest and it has the same calming effect as such a scene would.

Motto: Don't be ashamed of laughter that's too loud.
