Description:


Istvana is a heavyset petite woman who stands at 5' 3" and weighs 160 lbs. Despite her size, she has the capacity to endure long marches, or marathon walks. She is strong and can carry or haul things up to one and a half of her body weight.

She has a short, straight, red hair, that goes just a little past the nape of her neck. Her eyes are grey under thin eyebrows. She has a perpetually frowning face and gives the first impression that she always finds some thing disagreeable/disgusting with what she is looking at, even though that is far from the truth. That's just how her face normally is set and she can't do anything about it.

Personality: Organizer. Probably the one word that describes Istvana a great deal. Istvana is someone who likes to be on top of things, making sure that supplies are stock piled and accounted for. She dislikes people or things that bring chaos to her organized world of orderliness.

Old Fashioned. Istvana is a firm believer that women should be seen in dresses and men should be seen in suits. She will often find spare clothing for people who she thinks do not have proper dresses or suits. This is a result from her spartan and minimalist upbringing by her father, Gleb.

Shrewd. She has had to deal with the dwindling resources that they needed to survive while fighting Thread. She is rather sagacious when it comes to doling out resources and supplies to those that asks/requests for them.

History: Istvana Guther, named after her Great Grandmother from her Father's side, was born and raised in Slavsk, Russia. Her mother was a mix of Hispanic and Latino descent while her father was Pure Russian. Her mother died during childbirth and she was raised by her spartan of a father, Gleb Guther. She has no brothers or sisters but she does have numerous cousins from her mother's side. Her father was an only child just like Istvana is an only child resulting from the death of her mother.

Her father was in the Military and Istvana was raised like she was a Military Cadet from the time that she could walk. In addition, her father was a minimalist and Istvana rarely had toys to play with or any sort of decorations to liven up her room. From childhood up until she turned 18, she only ever had two of things. A pair of Sunday Dresses worn for going to Church. Two pairs of shoes, one pair to go with her Sunday Dresses and another pair for daily activities. Two sets of everyday clothes made up of a blouse and skirt set, and a shirt and pants set. Two sets of jewelry, one set worn during Sunday Mass, and another set worn for special occassions like her birthday or when her Dad attends a Military function/party.

Despite her Spartan upbringing, Istvana adores her father and has even opted to follow his footsteps and enlisted in the army at the age of 19. From a Private rank, she rose up to a Senior Warrant Officer that dealt with Logistics more specifically with Requisitions. Because of her talent for acquiring supplies and rationing stores, she had been invited to join the Pern Colonization Project at the age of 35. Because she had been put in stasis with the rest of the passengers and was not required to do a round of babysiting the ship while the ships with AINS (Artificial Intelligent Navigations System), went on their journey towards Pern.

She was still 35 when she finally stepped on foot of Pern. And before you ask, no, she has never had any family of her own. She was too busy with her job as a Senior Warrant Officer. Maybe on Pern she'll be able to find a suitable husband, but she highly doubts anyone would want her for a wife. After all, she has been dubbed as, "The Dreaded Chief RO". Istvana had been too busy inside one of Landing's metallic warehouse, inventorying supplies when Thread had fallen the first day. She didn't even know what was happening until she was done with her work and was ready to go out. She was then greeted with a super busy, noisy, and crowded Landing, as opposed to a quiet, peaceful, and finally organized Landing.

She knew of Dragonets and their usefulness but she has never had the patience to train one so she never bothered with them. Likewise with the firelizards even though she was invited to stand for the first firelizard hatching which she politely rejected being more concerned with their dwindling supplies and finding ways of replacing their stocks. With the initiation of the "Dragon Project", Istvana was one of the people that first inhabited the Caldera and supervised the transfering and storing of supplies from Landing to Caldera. When the First Hatching finally happened, Istvana was busy in the Dining Cavern organizing and supervising The Banquet that happened after the First Hatching.
