IC Time: Mid Spring
IC Setting: clear weather, early morning, just relaxing

Gonneth meandered through the sparse woods he could find, and sighed. Lately it had seemed like everything was just not going his way. He had been trying to work on strategies, involving games and the like as a base for evolving the strategies he knew he would be using in due time, but he never had time. He was constantly running around doing some sort of work for something or another, and it was starting to wear on him. He finally just couldn't take it anymore; he bolted from the Caldera as soon as he woke up that morning, swiping some food to last him the day, a couple of board games he enjoyed the most and his guitar; the guitar was in its case, slung across one shoulder, his travel pack holding the food and strategy game boards and pieces as he walked through the woods to a nice, secluded spot he used to go to a lot when he had first arrived at the Caldera; he liked that little clearing in the woods, the sounds of nature the only thing disturbing otherwise pristine silence, and the soothing calls of birds and general chatter of forest critters were that much more calming.

Out here, Gonneth felt his head clearing; it may not be too far from the volcano itself, but he was secluded enough that he couldn't hear any sounds of civilization. Ahh, this was great! He stretched, and Twilight chippered quietly, fluttering off on his own while Gonneth sat down, back against a boulder, set down his travel pack and his guitar and pulled out one of the games. He placed it in front of him and removed two small sacks from his travel pack; he flipped a coin from his pocket and opened one of the sacks to find black stones inside. Without a word, he placed the first stone on the board, leaned back, and watched as his mind made stones appear, several strategies all at once, watched his invisible opponent take advantage of him, watched himself completely crush his invisible opponent, and everything in between. After a few minutes, he grabbed the stone and shifted it to a new position and watched the same thing happen all over again.

He didn't think anyone would find him out here; in a way, he hoped no one did, but at the same time he hoped that someone would anyway. With a sigh, he pulled out some of the food he grabbed before leaving and started munching on it, occasionally moving his one stone to another position on the board and watching what his mind showed him, the moves all a compilation of the strategies of his best opponents against his own best. Twilight was already nowhere to be found, but that was alright; he knew Twilight was just enjoying himself much as Gonneth was. If only he could get more days like this...

((OOC: the game he's playing is this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go_(game)
I know what it's called here, but I think it's also called Stones.))

Peace and quite just what he needed to tune up his guitar after Mud had messed with it. The little brown kept getting into everything. Oh well Landon was fine with it as long as it was only around his place and not else where. He took out his guitar from it's black case and leaned against one of the many trees and fiddled with the tuning peg. He loved his guitar, his sister got it for him when he was eight for his birthday. That was before him and his family came to Pern. Every so often he would strum to check to see if the one cord sounded right. Once was satisfied that it was right he went to the next one. Mud was off who knows were probably in the mud somewhere. That just meant that Landon was going to need to give him a bathe once he got back. He loved the being away from people when he got a chance.

Gonneth had started losing track of time. He was currently staring at the board of the first game he'd looked at, as well as a chess board, watching moves play out for both games. Even so, it was so relaxing...the birds chirping...the wind rustling the leaves of the trees...a guitar getting tuned...
...wait.

A guitar getting tuned???

Immediately, Gonneth snapped back to reality. He looked around, suddenly feeling vulnerable for a moment, before he thought of something; maybe he could find the person using his own guitar...probably wouldn't work, but...worth a shot?

Gonneth pulled out his guitar, quickly and quietly tuned it and settled the strap over his shoulder before plucking a simple little tune - no more than a few notes long - and waited to see if the other guitarrist responded in kind. Time would only tell at this point.

((OOC: I kinda heard Battle of the Banjos in my head...doesn't have to be that, but that's what I thought Razz))

What was that? Another guitar? Opps, it sounded close to.Landon did not mean to interupt someone else. Their was few notes then they stopped. He knew that tune! He quickly tuned the last few strings then played the next few notes in the little tune. It was the first thing that he had learned to play. He had a feeling that who ever the other person was that he planned on something but he was not sure. He sat there waiting for a responce.
