Strange Creatures (tag Ari)

IC Time: month 1, 12 AL, mid-summer
IC Setting: The beast corrals outside the weyr, afternoon after lunch.

The day was warm, very warm. Warm enough that Ashur opted to just wearing a loose pair of pants and going topless. Eleith pranced along beside him. The warm summer breeze floated by them slowly. Out in the corrals the cattle grazed lazily. 'Dearest. What in the world are those things?' Eleith asked excitedly prancing up to the fence to look at the creatures.

Ashur laughed at his excitable little green, he was surprised at how much she had grown in the last few months. 'Those are cattle silly. That's mainly what you eat.' He explained.

'Really? Those are what I eat? Sure doesn't look the same to me.' Eleith replied back, her head cocked slightly to the right in wonder.

'I promise you. Those are it. Once you are older you'll get to hunt them yourself. That'll be fun right?' Ashur said giving her scratch on the head. Eleith crooned happily and kept on staring at the beasts.

It had been three months since Kassa had Impressed her lovely green dragonet Dezeraith. And only one and a half since she'd discovered that her indiscretion with Sean in the bathing room would have major repercussions for her. And boy over those months had her dragon grown! Only a little over a foot long at Hatching, Kassa grinned whenever she saw her now nearly five foot long green. Though in complete honesty about half of that length was tail, but that was a normal proportion for all the dragons.

Rubbing her dragonet's head knobs just the way Dezi liked it, Kassa led the way to the cattle fields. She wanted a walk to enjoy the warm summer air, and Dezi still wanted to be with her most of the time. Plus the green enjoyed the out doors as much as her rider. KassaMine, where are we going? The young woman was about to reply when she saw a familiar blond head and another green dragonet by the fence, and decided to keep it a surprise.

You'll see. Aloud, she called, "Hey, Ashur! How goes it with Eleith?" Coming up beside the other green pair, Dezeraith joined her sister and peered interestedly at the lowing cattle, cocking her head to the side. What are those funny looking things? The young green broadcast the question to her rider as well as her sister.

Eleith bugled excitedly as her green sister came up to them. 'Hello there dearest Dezeraith.' Eleith said excitedly. 'Yes, those are very strange creatures indeed. Apparently they are what we eat. Only in live form. Won't it be fun to hunt them once we are older?' Eleith's little tail began flipping back and forth swiftly in excitement.

Ashur waved to Kassa as she approached. "Hey there you. It goes well. Eleith was just now finding out where her food comes from. Dezeraith looks well, so do you. How has weyrlinghood been treating you?" He said, motioning her over to the fence with him.
