Name: Cecil Garbanovitch, CJ for short

Distinguishing features: A bit chubby, very boyish looks.

Hair Color: Blonde

Eye Color: Blue

Description: CJ leans a bit towards the heavier side than many of the colonists do. But its not because of his own eating habits, but because he still looks rather boyish even as an adult. He never quite lost the bit of pudge around his face and so people often mistake him for being rather slow. His blonde hair and blue eyes tell of his European descent, and his strong arms and legs are also testament to that. In fact his arms are pretty muscular from working on sleds and other things.

Personality: By preference, CJ is quiet and a bit shy. He tries to hide himself away from others because he feels that he is unattractive and a nuisance. He therefore has a hard time making friends, so when he does a job he often does it fast and leaves as soon as he can. Only now that he has impressed little brown Yeller has he started coming out of his shell more, thanks to the brown's antics.

History: CJ's parents were very traditional. By traditional, it meant they believed in raising an isolated family and teaching their children their personal values and allowing no one else to do so. Back on Earth, they had home schooled their children but encountered resistance from government teaching authorities. Pern colonization efforts changed that. The offer appealed to the reclusive parents and without hesitation signed themselves and their son up.

On Pern, CJ was mostly friendless. His parents held him inside, teaching him their own personal religious and social beliefs. He grew up with the belief that what his parents said what was the reality. His father, who was a mechanic, intended to teach his son the same ways and got to it.

In the first threadfall, his parents had been at their home and working on their private vegetable garden. He had gone out on his only second solo mechanical repair job and had been in the metal shed housing the equipment when it happened. Both his parents had been killed, and after that had been left on his own. CJ felt depressed, and guilty that if he had been there, something might have happened differently and he could have saved them.

Now actually living more out with people he is coming to realize how different his parent's beliefs were from the rest of those on Pern. It has caused him to draw even more into his shell. It was pure change later when he was at one of the firelizard clutch hatchings, and managed to impress brown Yeller. With Yeller about he has been forced to try and come out of his shell, even though its just to apologize for Yeller's antics.

It was not much than a year after his impression of Yeller that CJ again came to find himself bonded to another firelizard, a brown whom he named Josiah. Josiah has been an immense help to the young man, keeping the ever-hungry Yeller occupied and mostly out of trouble, and being a more reliable helper on the whole for CJ, but he loves both regardless.

His life took a drastic change in the spring of the year 10 AL, when he surprise impressed the small blue dragon Jareth at the second hatching. It should not have been too much of a surprise; given his affinity for the two brown firelizards he had already impressed. Jareth has already proven to be a positive influence on the life of the shy young man, and time will tell how the love and affection of a dragon will change his outlook on life and those around him.

Name: Yeller

Species: Firelizard

Age: 1.5 Years (9 AL)

Description: Yeller is a big and ironically a fat brown. He is always eating, and therefore on the pudgy side. With some darker shadings on his claws and muzzles, people often joke that he is darker in these places from all the food he eats. His other distinguishing feature is his voice. Yeller is extremely vocal with chirps and squeals and trills, and is not at all shy about making a lot of noise. This has caused CJ to come out to apologize for him, but at least its more people contact.

Personality: A troublemaker. Yeller is always getting into things, messing with CJ's tools, teasing other firelizards, whatever it takes. Fortunately this often leads to laughs but sometimes anger comes out of it, and people try to keep their eyes on him. At the same time he is fiercely territorial of CJ and will not let other firelizards land on him, because CJ is "his". The only other flit allowed near CJ with his permission is Josiah, his 'brother'.

Age: 6 months (10 AL)

Description: Josiah the smooth brown of fresh oiled leather, he's the caramel colour of a jersey cow with the same fine look to it almost as it if would feel just as soft. He's rather large for a brown, not all that bulky but obviously masculine.

Personality: Josiah tends to take himself as a firelizard very seriously. He likes to be well groomed, close to his 'brother' and owner CJ, and doing what he is told. He's very dependable, bringing things when are needed and doing his best to reign in Yeller's more outrageous antics. He also loves attention and will pose if he thinks people will pay attention.

Description: A small blue among his fellow senior blue brethren. He is a blue reminiscent of sapphire gems of old Earth. He has a rather unique pattern of dark blue swirls around his haunches and cloud-like powder blue patterns on his wing sails which are sky blue in color with bluegreen veins. 12ft in length he's fairly small.

Basic Personality: Curious : Keen. Laconic. [expressing much in few words, concise]

Detailed Personality: Jareth is always extremely inquisitive, loving to poke his nose into things. Poking here, poking there, everything is worth investigating if it holds new secrets! He tends to puzzle things out quickly, or understand well if it is explained to him, and he often says things in the simplest way possible. He loves to hang around other dragons, particularly greens because he does not feel so small when they are present.

Mind Voice: Deeper, but always inquisitive.

Motto: Don't be ashamed of honest tears.

Hatching Scene: The other, the blue having crossed the sands to the opposite side, passing the green he hatched with on the way there in what seemed like some sort of dance though his movements were keen and curious as he studied this older green in front of him. Well she did have a certain something which drew him in, but it wasn't her. His eyes slid to the man beside her, well yes he was interesting too, but he belonged to the green. That much he could tell and then it caught his eye, the young man behind him. Yes he was the one that drew him there and pushing himself between the green and her rider he reared and placed his forepaws on the barrier and reached up to the boy with his nose.

'Forever mine and mine alone. You destiny and mine are one Cecil. I am your Jareth, yours alone.'

His words were concise, too the point and full of a great depth of meaning for one so young as he reached up to his chosen.
