Dragonriders Now and Forever [First Hatching Dragons]

IC Time: Mid Summer
IC Setting: Clear skies and stinking hot weather.

The day had come; Mikhael had fitted straps to every dragon from the first hatching still with them; he had taught the riders matinence of those straps over the two arduously long months they had waited for the straps to be perfected. Mikhael had come down quite hard on several of the younger riders for attempting to fly without straps. So far he and Zharath were the only ones to have made it into the air. The others had been grounded to this day; Galateath had helped greatly in keeping that order.

Today Mikhael had gathered them all in the Caldera; straps on Zharath and harness on himself. Checking everything again he waited for everyone else to join him. Today would be the day they would fly together; they would all fly together. Today they would truly become dragonriders.



[short I know.. but at least we're getting there again]

"You wanted to see us?" Otania asked nervously. Her saphire blue at her side nuzzling the spot between her shoulder blades that seemed to get very tense when she was nervous. Otania turned around and scratched the eyeridge affectionatly. She was the only female bluerider. That made her feel like a misfit. But the was a male greenrider so she did have another rider who may feel the same as her. With a sigh Otania looked up at the bronzerider.

It was hot. No, hotter than hot. The air was searing and damn Mikhael made her promise to wear long, wherhide pants today, on what seemed like the hottest day of the summer so far. Her brown hair was bunched up and pinned in so many places atop her head, she was sure she looked like a mess, but in all honesty it was too hot outside to even think about leaving her wavy brown locks down. Beside her, Galateath rumbled slightly, grabbing her rider's attention and focusing it on herself, rather then letting Adrienne dwell on it any longer.

We're flying today, love. I can feel it.

Immediately Adrienne turned, whirling to face her Gold's swirling, satisfied green eyes. Really, Gala? Today? That explains why Mik made me wear these damned pants... Adrienne scowled, but Galateath merely chuckled mentally, saying,

Of course, Adrienne. Mikhael wouldn't sacrifice the sight of your long legs for any other reason.

The Goldrider only scowled more, but Galateath noted the slight satisfaction behind her rider's facade. "You think so." It was a statement, not meant to get a reply, and as such the Gold dragon moved her gaze from her sun-kissed rider to their self-appointed leader and Zharath, the golden-colored bronze. With her dragon's shift of attention, Adrienne turned herself and looked to Mikhael, awaiting his command... The straps he held across his arm kept her mouth tightly closed; now was not the time to argue with him.
