Description: Silvester is tall, standing at 6'0, and he has a strong build from working out. His complexion is a medium brown shade. Silv has black hair but he usually shaves his head, keeping it very short. He dresses in plain, practical clothing with no adornments.

Personality: Silv is an extremely calm and patient person. He rarely loses his cool. If he starts getting angry, he tries to calm down before losing his temper and lashing out. He is a gentle soul with animals as well as people. Silv absolutely loves animals, and sometimes thinks he understands them better than he does humans. One of the ways he keeps calm when he is feeling upset is doing anything athletic. Silv is a morning person and he always goes for a run to start his day.

He was chosen for candidacy both for his calm demeanor and his veterinary experience, in the hopes that his talent for working with animals would transfer over to dragons.

History: Silvester was born on Earth in New York City. He was born to a teenage mother and put up for adoption when he was a baby. He was adopted by a big, loving family and he had a good childhood. Silv always loved animals and as a child he always brought home street cats and dogs to take care of them.

Even though his own life was good, Silv was troubled by the problems in the world. When he heard about a new expedition to form a peaceful society, he wanted to go. It was hard to say goodbye to his family, but with their blessing he joined the Pern crew.

He set foot on Pern at age sixteen, and immediately began training as a veterinarian. He originally planned to specialize in the treatment of livestock, but as the dragonets and later firelizards became more prevalent, Silv devoted himself to studying their anatomy and learning what he could to help them if they got sick or injured.

At the age of nineteen, Silv had a brief romance with a botanist, Melissa, and they did their duty to help populate Pern. Melissa gave birth to a son, Henry. Their romance did not last, but Silv remained involved in his son's life.

Henry was with Silv when Thread first fell. They ran inside and stayed safe, but later Silv heard that Melissa was killed in the fall. Ever since he has been Henry's primary caregiver, although lots of "aunties" help out since he is so busy with his job. Recently a second thing has been put on his plate--candidacy.

Description: Ivy is fairly large for a green, but with a slender, lithe build. Her hide is a dark green with stripes of mint green going across her tail and sides.

Personality: Ivy is somewhat unfriendly towards strangers. She seems perpetually grumpy, and has a bad temper. She likes to flirt but gets angry when a male doesn't return her attention. She is bossy towards other dragonets and acts almost like a Gold queen. Silv is the only person she seems to have any respect for.

Description: Snow is, as her name suggests, pure white. Her eyes are a striking blue. She is small, with a dainty build, and she was the runt of the litter. You wouldn't know it from looking at her, but she is deaf.

Personality: Snow is very sweet and affectionate. She loves attention from anyone who is willing to give it. She is very patient, like her owner, and seems to have a fondness for children. Snow is usually bold, but she is scared of Ivy and hides when the green gets too close.
