D'lor : Bronze Revenaulth : Male Matthew_mcconaughey_200907

Name:

D'lor {He was Daelor before he Impressed.}

Age:

32; Late Summer

Gender:

Male

Distinguishing features:

D'lor is known as being the man everyone can talk to, the one with all the answers. He likes being in command, but he doesn't enjoy the spotlight that comes with it, as does his older brother, and so he is perfectly happy with his rank of Wingleader.

Hair Color:

Dark, Chocolate Brown

Eye Color:

Emerald Green

Description:

At 6'2, he is neither the tallest or the shortest, and at 200 lbs, he isn't the biggest of men, but neither of these stats have ever really mattered to D'lor. Whether he was 5'0 or 7'0, he'd still stride around with the unending exuberance he's known for, with that devilish grin on his face and his curly hair chopped messily about his head. His skin is deeply tanned from years spent under the sun, matching his dark hair almost perfectly... but his eyes offer the biggest contrast in his face. Instead of an average brown, they're a deep, emerald green, a color that his women friends have called "enchanting" and "gorgeous" on more than one occasion.

D'lor's not really one to let his looks go to his head, though. Yeah, he knows he's attractive, as would any man who's gone through women like he has, but it's not that big of a deal. If he wasn't as goodlooking, he'd still have that "HeLLO, ladies," swagger, and women would still be attracted to him nonetheless.

His body is tall and lean, with most of his strength being in his arms rather in his legs because of all the work he's done a-dragonback. Usually, D'lor prefers sleeveless shirts to any other, and he swears his wherhide pants are the most comfortable breeches he's ever worn, period.

Personality:

D'lor is everyone's best friend. He's the one the girls confide their secrets in, the guy who all the men run to when they need good advice, and an overall enjoyable guy. He's the voice of reason in a tense situation, but he's the first to concoct devious pranks and other tasks to make those around him laugh. D'lor is a great leader when he needs to be, but he'd rather be behind the scenes, helping his Weyrleader brother quell riots than be the figurehead.

When it comes to relationships, though, all D'lor really looks for is a good time. The easiest way to scare him out of a relationship is to mention getting serious, at which point something or another will come along and he's so sorry, but things just aren't going to work out. All D'lor wants is someone to have fun with now, because who knows what tomorrow might bring?

History:

Born to a rogue sailor captain and his equally rough wife, Daelor grew up on the sea. He learned to love the smell of salt in the air, the thrill of danger after a raid, and the sweet, cold water of the ocean after a particular hard set of chores. From a child he was always thinking of the next great prank to pull with his brother, the next big joke to play on his older brother, Davern, and as such he was equally loved and hated by his father's crew.

He was content to live the life laid out for him... until he first saw a dragon.

It was during one of the times they'd come to harbor for a day or two, and during that period of time he'd been attracted by the humming coming from the close Weyr, and being the sort of teenage boy he was Daelor was curious. After convincing Davern to come with him, the pair snuck off the boat and into the Hold, and then into the Weyr... and from there they made it to the Hatching Sands in time to watch the first green hatch. Davern, his brother, was oohing and ahhing along with the rest of the crowd at the babies, while Daelor was too busy craning his neck to see the huge dragons perched above him. All were spectacular, and the mother gold was something else to behold... but his thoughts were soon interrupted.

D'lor! D'lor-Mine! Come down here and feed your Revenaulth! I knew you were here... Why did you hide and scare your Revenaulth so?

Shocked, the boy now called D'lor looked down to the Sands to meet eyes with the prettiest, biggest, strongest bronze down there, his Revenaulth. His brother too, within seconds had Impressed his own bronze, Xelarventh, and the two sons of near pirates were met with shock, confusion, and some resentment by the other candidates, but there was nothing that could really be done. After all, they'd Impressed the only two bronzes to Hatch, and so they were supposed to be given all the respect...

After sending someone down to notify their parents, who were proud as could be, the boys began their weyrling training with all the other new bonds, and so the beginning of their lives as 'Riders started.

As the years went on, though the pair was as different as light and dark D'lor and his brother, D'vern, became nearly inseperable. They were best friends as well as brothers, and where D'vern was made to lead, D'lor was more than happy to follow. In many ways, he looked up to his more serious brother, and as such when D'vern went off with one of the younger queens to start a new Weyr, D'lor followed without hesitation.

Since they were in the middle of an Interval, there was no thread to fight, but D'lor was just as hinored as if there had been when his new Weyrleader, his brother D'vern, appointed him Wingleader in their new home. Wing drills went well, they kept up their strategies and even started some of the Weyr Tournaments.... but D'lor got bored, and after the discovery of an old, undated photo he, along with most of his Wing, concoted a plan to go back in time and avert the disater of 16AL.

See, six years after the first dragons ever created hatched a plague struck, wiping out all but a few of the population. A vaccine was finally created, and was still in use during his time, but he wanted to see if the whole catastrophe could be avioded by bringing the vaccine back to the 16AL riders. He had nothing but time on his hands, as did the Riders under his command, and though they were warned not to by his brother, his wing did the impossible and jumped back through time, ending up in 11AL, rather than 15AL like they'd hoped. {And so, the roleplay begins, with D'lor and his wing blinking into existence over Mikhael and Adrienne's Weyr.}

Pet

Name:

Rella

Species:

Firelizard

Color:

Gold

Age:

3 Turns

Description:

A brilliant white gold, Rella is an odd, but vibrant color for a firelizard. Her base color of white gold is overlapped by three bands of yellow-gold across her back, as well as streaks across her muzzle of the same hue. She's tiny for a gold, but do not be fooled; her temperment can be as mean and forceful as any larger gold, and she isn't afraid to back up her attitude with sharp nips.

Her wingspan is long, nearly unproportional to her body, and her tail is too long as well, making her seem all out of balance. While this may make Rella seem ungainly and clumsy on the ground, she makes up for it in the skies with speed and agility mostly unknown to females of her color.

Personality:

Agressive, protective, and not at all nice, Rella loves only one man, and she will let you know her opinion of you if you get too close to him. With a sharp hiss and nip for all those she greets, she isn't the typical gold firelizard. Yes, she tolerates those she's used to, but strangers aren't at ALL welcome and she will readily inform them of this, much to D'lor's chagrin.

Dragonrider Rank

DRAGON PROFILE

Name:

Revenaulth, 'Naulth for short.

Color:

Bronze

Color Code:

I use Tek Tek... so.... <_<

Age:

14 Turns

Rider:

D'lor

Description:

A dark, near brown bronzed color, Revenaulth could be mistaken for a brown were it not for his sheer size. Measuring in at 24 foot, he's a large bronze for their time, and he's larger and built more sturdy, obviously made more for strength and endurance than speed. His wings are perfectly in proportion with his body, but his front legs are a little long, giving him what could almost be called a "hitch" in his step when he walks. To set off his wing membranes and to contrast his dark coloring, he has gold streaks lining the veins in his wings, as well as streaked across his muzzle.

Detailed Personality:

Revenaulth has a quiet, commanding presence, one that is immediately felt whenever he's entered a conversation. This bronze is a better listener than a speaker, he's humble, something out of the ordianary for a bronze, and he'd rather work in small groups than in large ones. 'Naulth, as he is called by his Rider, likes to think things through for a long time before going through with something, something that gets on D'lor's nerves often, though he deals with it. Very methodical, he believes in an order to everything, but when the situation calls for it he can think on his feet, though this isn't something he particularly likes.

Mind Voice:

Revenailth's voice is the lightning and thunder of the storm, his softer tones demanding as much attention as his louder ones. When content and satisfied, his voice is the smooth rumbling of the thunderstorm miles away, quiet enough to be pleasing to the mind but intense enough to know the power's still there, just waiting to be roused. During tense situations, his voice is lightning, blasting out orders as quick as his rider thinks them, and his tone is just as sharp as the electricity that shoots from the skies. When angered, his voice is the thunder again, but this time it resembles nothing you'd want to listen to; it's the thunder that shakes your house and rattles your bones, causing all but the bravest of souls to flinch before his wrath.

Mottos:

"Actions speak louder than words," and "Speak softly, but carry a big stick."
