Never Ever Again [Malcolm]

IC Time: Early Winter
IC Setting: Icy winds lash outside whilst snow thickly coats the ground. It's fairly warm inside the Caldera walls but cold and icy outside.

Artemis was bored, sexless and bored. Surath was finally sleeping as she snuck out of her room her boys were with their aunt Avalon and uncle Morgen. She was craving some action and the geneticists so far had ruined all of her attempts to do so. Tonight however she would not let it be, and her urges took over. She was dressed for the warmth of the caverns as she sashayed her way into the dining cavern. She surveyed the cavern before finally picking her target. He was a drunk man, a very drunk man and he was her target.

She sidled her way over to him and began chatting him up, it didn't take long for her to pry him reason for drunkness from his lips. He had just lost a child, oh now that was painful, though he never told her when just that he had. They had talked for a little while longer before finally she managed to coax him to follow her, swaying her hips as she led him down the tunnels and into her room. She pulled him inside without even thought for getting his name, pulling him towards the bed she kissed him hard in an attempt to pull him down with her. Blissfully though for the moment Surath slept on, in an uncharacteristicly deep sleep.

Everything was...fuzzy. Fuzzy and very cloudy with a horrible fog to help muck things up even more. Hell, not even his hearing was working right. Malcolm wasn't even sure where he was. A room, a warm room that is. He did remember briefly being cold, so he had to have moved from one place to another, but it was too fuzzy. He did remember some things from earlier.

A few months ago Ayana had miscarried their baby. They had both be devastated, even though she hadn't been that far along. She had been way more upset than he, but Malcolm had started getting excited about the idea of a baby. He was even thinking of doing right by Ayana and settling down, though very strong feelings were not present yet. It would have just made things easier for them both. Instead they lost the baby and things had just gotten...well worse. Malcolm felt as if he had to be the strong one since Ayana was taking it harder than he. So he tried to be positive, to think on the bright side, and generally tried to pull her out of depression. He didn't think about himself though and all those emotions and feelings he repressed were starting to get to him.

So that evening he'd gone to the dining hall. He had felt so detached from Ayana that day that he hadn't even gone to see her, something that was unlike him. He did send Juergy to her so she wouldn't come looking for him. Once in the dining hall he'd gotten as much alcohol as he could and sat over in a dark corner. All the things he was feeling came to the surface with the help of the alcohol. He was even at one point crying over the loss of his child since he'd yet to let it all out. Malcolm was sad, upset, and mad, though there was no real reason for him being mad.

He wasn't sure how much time had past, nor how much alcohol he had consumed, but he knew it had to be a lot. Malcolm was at the point where he couldn't feel anything, that sweet blissful unawareness that kept the emotions at bay. It was as he was sitting there staring off into nothing, that a pretty young girl came up to him. He didn't know this girl, never met her, but something in the back of his mind told him that she was one of the riders. She was so nice to him, talked to him. That was what he had needed, though at first he was reluctant to say anything. Finally she had coaxed him into telling her everything. She was so kind to make him feel better.

Before he really knew what was going on she was leading him somewhere. That was it, he was in her room, it finally came to his alcohol drowned mind. Just when she kissed him hard and tried pulling him down. He didn't even know what her name was. Something in the back of his mind told him he shouldn't be doing this, it wasn't fair to Ayana, but it felt so nice and she had been so nice to talk to him. "Wait...I.." He started to protest, but was cut short as his strength gave out and he collasped onto the bed next to her.

He was too drunk to really fight anything at that moment and his body was the one thinking for him, not his brain. Giving up to what his body wanted and not bothering to think about it anymore, he pushed the girl onto her back and crawled on top of her. He kissed her roughly for this was not an act of passion, this was an act of lust. Each just needing what the other could give and nothing more. He didn't even realize there was a dragon in the room with them, sleeping. His hands found the front of her shirt, which was a button or snap up, he wasn't sure which, and he pulled it open so he could feel more of her skin. Too bad he wouldn't remember this night.

Artemis' skirt fell free as she kissed him back roughly, full of nothing but pure need. It was raw lust that was driving them as each dispensed of their clothing heavily on the ground as if it were a weight that were nearly crushing them. It wasn't long before it was skin on skin contact and Artemis swore she was burning, the sudden sting from the contact was like dropping butter onto a hot frypan, you could just about hear their skin sizzling with the heat of their contact. Oh she had waited soo long for this and it was feeling so good she barely noticed Surath beginning to stir from his deep deep sleep.

Malcolm couldn't help the moans that escaped his lips. Malcolm wasn't feeling very good, almost to the point of passing out or throwing up. He didn't want to ruin the pleasure his body was feeling so he fought back those bad feelings. The skin on skin contact was amazing, he felt as if he could feel every inch of skin on her touching him. He didn't waste any time in taking her for his body wouldn't let him wait. As oblivious as he was he didn't notice the living creature that was starting to move near them.

'No. What're you doing? Surath doesn't like that. Stop mine. Stop!'

The voice was loud and panicked and shattered into every single mind of those in the room and those who had dragons. Surath couldn't move and as Artemis and Malcolm were mid coitus he disappeared in a panic before Artemis could be snapped out of it. The sudden shock to her mind and heart of Surath missing made Artemis freeze and for a long moment she was catatonic, unable to move or thing, everything in her merely cried out for her beautiful blue, every fiber of her cried out for something that could no longer be returned. It didn't take long for the shock to hit her heart, and it all culminated in a fatal heart attack that left her cold and dead mid coitus. All around the dragons rose their heads and keened long and loud for the most fragile of little blues and his rider.

Malcolm by this point was feeling very...wrong. Almost as if his entire body was shutting down on him. His vision was blurring more than just being drunk, his mouth was as dry as cotton and even his hearing was going. It wasn't so far gone though that he couldn't hear the dragon screaming in confusion and terror. The sound of that was enough to make him finally realize how bad he really felt. He had no idea what was going on to Artemis or that her dragon had just disappeared to never return again. Malcolm was even beyond the point of thinking so much alcohol was running through his system. Before he lost consciousness, he managed to lean over the bed and throw up some of the drink he had consumed. A pathetic attempt of his body to try and get rid of the poison that was harming it to the point of almost death. After that Malcolm blacked out, not even realizing that the woman he had just been having sex with was dead beneath him.
