Description: Jase is forever brushing the slightly wavy black hair from his face, giving the world view of his stormy grey eyes once again. Some say he has a brooding appearance with his lean muscle and slight stature of 5’10”. Though he prefers loose clothes that are comfortable over being stylish, he comes across as very handsome no matter his appearance. His pale skin bears little tan and if decided to be graced by good genetics he does not freckle either.

Personality: Jase is a happy man, not one to brood on anything longer than a few seconds. His aim in life is to keep everyone motivated, keep moral up. He’s the guy everyone wants when the going gets tough, never giving up, faith unwavering. However all this optimism is sure to tire him out, and it’s when he is alone that he broods and dwells on thoughts one mustn’t. When he is alone reality is a painful and sharp truth driven through his chest like a stake. However he feels privately he perseveres for the good of everyone else, after all there is no I in team, and no ‘me’ doesn’t count either.

History: Jase grew up with the Williams brothers, they were good friends from the start. Parents both a mix of geneticists and doctors, he grew up in a world of playing god and sorrow. A world were life’s truths were painfully obvious. Whilst it never seemed to effect the Williams boys, it did however effect Jase. Who grew to have his almost overly positive nature to counteract the overwhelming despair he felt watching his parents, and seeing them when they came home. At 15 Pern became his home with his parents, he adjusted at a normal rate. However just like his mother he became a doctor and a very talented one at that, finishing his degree two years ahead of his collegues. He was brilliant in that area, and became quite well known among the colonists. He was one of those who saw the full horror of Thread as it fell, so many hopeless cases he saw, so much blood and terror. Even so he was positive through it all, holding it together for everyone elses sake. The moment he was behind closed doors he broke down in despair, how could they continue like that. Soon after he started tending to Sled Pilot injuries, each time hurt him a little more and more. His talent and his temperament in the face of danger however had him approached as a likely Candidate, however politely he turned them down, for him being a Doctor was all the job he needed.

Description: Rikath is as plain as you get in a green, an even shade of may green covers her entire hide, and she will never be envied by anyone on length of appearance as she is rather average in both. She will happily grow to a rather average 11ft in length but she will never be missed as male despite her average appearance.

Hatching Scene: A tail unfurled and it seemed like the egg just gave way as the contents slid out onto the sands. Shaking the sands from her wings, she shook herself off standing still enough for everyone to finally see her colour. She was a rather plain may green, no deviations in her hide like there had been in the others before her. She was even average in her appearence, whilst smallest of everyone it was clear she was female. Well now that she was up she might as well find hers, there never seemed to be any doubt in her about finding them either.

Her whirling eyes surveyed the sands watching softly the young women, but no they were not for her, in fact her eyes were caught by a man across the sands, first aid kit in his arms he all but dropped it when he realised she was looking at him. He took a step forwards and she responded moving in a clumsy manner that improved as she moved. Soon they had met in the middle of the sands and the man found himself kneeling before the precious green.

'Hello Jase, I've been waiting for you.'

'Yes. You can call me Rikath Jase, and I am yours. You don't have to be afraid of being alone now'

By now tears were running down his cheeks, and he gently laid the first aid kit on the sands so he could pull her into his arms, she was so small and precious he thought as he craddled her close to himself. Lifting her little head she affectionatly licked his cheek clean of the satly tasting tears. She could wait for food as she knew her Jase needed her.
