Description:


Sera is a slender woman, though she has an ample chest she is careful how she displays it. Her red hair falls just past her shoulder in loose curly waves. She has wide brown eyes and pale porcelain skin. She loves to wear flowing and layered dresses, light floaty ones for the summer, and thicker woolen ones for the winter. Her summer skirts are floaty layers and sit low on her hips teamed with light floaty gypsy like cropped blouses. Her winter skirts are thick woolen ones, teamed with a light shirt and a thick woolen jumper, or she layers two shirts with a vest. All of which she has made herself. She always makes sure to rug up tight in the winters as she isn't the healthiest person.

Personality: Sera is a bright and intelligent young woman, she greets everyone with a smile. She happily will help anyone and has made it her job to weave blankets and fabric so she can clothe those in the Caldera. She is responsible for most of the clothes in the stores and takes pride in her work. She's ever patient and takes everything in her stride with a hum and a smile. She is rather shy when it comes to her own feelings about people but she tries her best to never insult anyone. She isn't all that confident around men although she hides her fear well, keeping the origins of her son to herself. It is not known that her preference lies in women.

History: Sera was the daughter of a well known fashion designer Estelle Lewis, who also had a mastery in weaving and fabric weaving methods. This talent was passed onto her daughter Sera, the young girl delighted in making her own blankets or fabics to sew with and was an accomplished little weaver and seamstress by her 10th birthday. Her mother was proud of her daughter and glad of her chosen hobby which became her profession, as it kept her young daughter inside and away from illnesses she could catch as Sera was never one of any particular constitution. Her mother was chosen on her talents to become apart of the Pern settlement the woman gladly took up the offer bringing along her daughter with her.

Nothing much was known about Sera's father in fact her mother had never spoken of his to her. Sera was 13 when they arrived on Pern and took to life there splendidly, although the winters were hard for her, the clothes she made kept her warm as the blanket she wore on her lap when she did get sick. Nothing though could take her from her sewing machine and loom. She became good friends with the girl who lived next door to her, and when she wasn't sitting at her loom or sewing machine she was being shown places by Sonja, much to her mothers disappointment, whilst she knew it would be good for Sera she didn't like her spending so much time stressing her body.

Sera was always quite aware of Sonja's preferences for females, though it took some time for her to realize that she herself did too. However despite her friends preference she kept her own hidden, not waiting to make her feel uncomfortable or possible ruin their friendship. She was 20 years old when she was walking home from the stores with some new wool to spin thread and weave blankets with, she was grabbed by a man and raped in the ally between two building blocks. There are still scars from this night as the man stole her virginity and instilled in her a fear of sorts of men. She has a tendency to flinch when touched by men, though she swallows it when dealing with her male customers.

She was not able to hide the night for long as soon the consequences became apparent, her mother was not at all pleased, and Sera lied to hide the truth. She was pregnant shortly after she fell pregnant. Early Summer came and she was ready to pop, however nothing could prepare her for what would happen that day. The horror named Thread fell and it seemed as she stayed in her house Sonja who had been visiting by her side, that would be the day she would have her child. Her small hips made the pain all that worse as she doubled over in pain onto the floor. Her mother without a second though disappeared into Thread to find someone to help. That was to be her mothers fate as she never came back. Leaving Sera with Sonja. It wasn't until it seemed everything was quieting down that Thomas came into the world. He was the most darling child and Sera fell in love with him the moment she saw him.

Her health had held out and despite some tearing she was faring well as she was checked over by one of the doctors that found them in the chaos that happened after Thread. She moved with everyone to the Caldera and began weaving again, and reclothing those who had none. With Thomas sleeping in a bassinet next to her she doted upon her son and become like so many others, a working mother. Thomas was a year old when Sera was gifted an egg from one of the first firelizard clutches from the original 15. From her egg she bonded a green she named Estelle after her mother.

Thomas is now a healthy 2 year old, walking and running, happily chattering to anyone he meets. He is the light of Sera's life and loves his 'Aunty' Sonja very dearly. Sera is greatful for the help of her friend, though sometimes she wishes it were more than just dinner and a harmless sleep over every once in a while.

Description: A pale almost white green, a mint green as her mother would say and her favourite colour. Estelle is delicate and slender, a 'lady' as Sera calls her, something she knew her mother would call her.

Personality: Estelle is smart for a green she has also become Thomas' favourite playmate she she has become kind of a babysitter for the young boy when Sera is working. She is friendly and trills welcome to all who enter Sera's little workshop where she does all her custom works, almost like a little alarm.
